Fully automatic exposure features increasingly throughout the 80s, along with auto film loading, rewinding and Autofocus. 35mm SLRs take on the "compact" size. Excellent equipment becomes progressively more affordable whilst even some cheap cameras produce commendable results in sympathetic hands.
