| Verascope No. 7b, vintage camera - all round view at 10° intervals.
The Verascope is a fabulous precision creation. The workmanship is akin to a gunsmith, and looking at it, you'd have to think that such an artisan had an influence. Here the camera is removed from its plate magazine and sat atop it. As the camera rotates you will see inside, note the filter holders behind the lenses. The lenses aren't coated, the colour is from the blued steel shutter guilotine. The case in the background is open revealing the alternative roll fim magazine. Even this tatty example of the Verascope is beautiful.

Stuck at home and looking for a long read?
|Of Our Own Device is a spy tale interwoven amongst true events culminating with the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. Meticlously researched and utterly true to life, the book is very particular with its cadence. It is both spy and romance, but mostly a study of deceit, internationally, between friends, lovers and ourselves.|
