Above left, Fireworks reflected
in a puddle, November 2007. In my haste to get out I forgot the tripod
so decided to take weird shots instead. Exposure was set to B, and I used
f/5.6, keeping the shutter open for a count of three seconds, hand held.
Above right, an act of hope over experience! Hand held for a count of
five seconds, aperture wide open, the sole source of illumination being
the sparklers. Amazingly, this is pretty sharp, much more than I had any
right to expect. The rangefinder was easier to use under these conditions
than I imagined. |
