Nagel Recomar 18, photographed for a 360° view consisting of 36 images at 10° intervals and set to rotate at 8 frames per second giving you a tour right round the camera in 4.5 seconds. In this view, the camera is shown with the wire viewfinder and back-sight extended. Just to be contradictory the viewing hood is shown open, as the camera would be used when focussing using plate film. Nagel cameras were always compact, the lensboard and supports of the camera being only just wide enough to take the envisaged shutter combinations. Using folded sheet aluminium for the carcass and a cast aluminum lens bed and hatch further minimized dimensions, resulting in a delightful family of cameras. Start the image spinning by putting your cursor over the "Spin" side of the image, you can pause the animation in any position by touching the "Pause" side. |
