Another honest little camera from Kodak, simple to use
and produces reasonably crisp, contrasty and evenly illuminated negatives.
This picture was actually quite a hard task for this camera, taken into
sun - using the foliage as a lens shade. This is Old Sherborne Castle,
once owned by Sir Walter Raleigh. He remodeled it to contemporary tastes
but never managed to enjoy it as he ran into financial difficulties. The
castle remained in use until the Parliamentarians sacked it in the 1640s
and sold the ruin off. Much of the missing stonework can be found in various
houses in Sherborne. |
