The jiffy has been photographed here showing the articulated stand. With a bit of ingenuity, it can be used to angle the camera up, although it was more normally used as a short leg to support the camera when placed in landscape orientation. Stands were fitted to cameras so that they could remain on a firm surface for long exposures.

Start the image spinning by putting your cursor over the "Spin" side of the image, you can pause the animation in any position by touching the "Pause" side.
