The principle delight
in using the Finetta is derived from it's appearance, it is quite
unlike anything else. The camera sits quite nicely in the hands
and the controls are light and smooth. Setting the aperture is
a bit of a fiddle however. Performance is tolerable, the optics
aren't the crispest but they're far from the worst either. If
it has a problem at all it's the surprisingly picky shutter,
though a simple device its tolerance to wear is low and this
one has proved to be decidedly recalcitrant - regularly refusing
to release. However, I can forgive it because I like the way
it looks!

Cathedral bathed in the evening sunlight , taken from St Catherines
Hill. At right the knobbly bark of a tree on St Catherines, at
the Finettas closest focus. Below right is a Piper J3C-65 Cub
at Chilbolton Airfield.
