Hercules and lily

The pictures on this page were all taken in 1950 or 51, admittedly not by the museums' Ful Vue but by my Mother's identical model. Focusing this model of the Ful Vue was achieved by pulling or pushing the lens barrel in or out. No scale was supplied so fine tuning the camera was a case of hit and miss. In company with all "point and press" camera's, the principle benefit is the simplicity of use, but from a artistic perspective - the spontaneity these simple devices can impart is by far the biggest asset.

Here we see Lily, with no protective equipment whatsoever and a massive horse who went by the name Hercules, with good reason.
