Butcher's Midg, vintage camera - all round view at 10° intervals.
This large box type camera is of the falling plate magazine type. With the back open, the large spring that presses each plate carrier into use can be seen. The exposed plates fall into the space inside the camera, being prevented from going back by small strip springs in the side. The exposed plates are withdrawn, in a darkroom, from underneath the pressure spring, and in this view they are emerging. Start the image spinning by putting your cursor over the "Spin" side of the image, you can pause the animation in any position by touching the "Pause" side.
