This is a De Havilland DH115 Vampire T11, in kit form. The early type centrifical flow gas turbine is clearly visible with it's burn chambers around the periphery of the powerplant. The aeroplane has since taken to the skies again having been restored at Swansea in Wales.

Another one of Swansea's De Havilland residents, this one's a Dove. I believe this one is on its way to airworthiness too. Likewise it is contemporary with the Nettar .   Below are four shots from a rare outing with colour film, all taken in October 2005, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. Pictured is Nelson's flagship at the battle, The Victory. Though pretty mauled after the battle and with it's famous admiral dead and pickled in a barrel, the Victory survived the gales that followed and was brought in under tow and a jury rigged mast. She survives to this day at the Royal Dockyard at Portsmouth, where she remains a commissioned (though not floating) ship of the Royal Navy.

Not far along the harbour from the Victory is the Spinnaker Tower, so called as it represents the sail of that name billowing out from the mast.     back to Nettar.
